We are already very excited to host you in Ankara for the Polymer Science and Technology Congress 2024.
On behalf of the Organizing Committee
Prof. Dr. Ali ÇIRPAN
Chair of PolimerTR 2024
We highly value your early abstract submission as it enables us to design an effective schedule and assign suitable meeting rooms, ensuring a seamless presentation experience for you.
We welcome contributions in abstract format (not full text) for oral and/or poster presentations. The presentation type and schedule will be decided by the scientific committee after a peer review process. We will notify corresponding (submitting) authors the decision upon completion of the review process.
Please note that;
- Each participant can submit a maximum of two abstracts, with only one being considered for an oral presentation.
- Abstracts can be in Turkish or English; however, your presentation language should match.
All accepted abstracts will be scheduled in the conference, and only presented abstracts will be published in the book of abstracts.
Please submit your abstract online by MeetingHand conference management software to ensure that your abstract submission aligns with the conference's requirements.
The platform automatically takes care of the format, including text length (ranging between 100 to 350 words) during the submission process. To view the instructions before preparing your abstract, please click here.
Please note that registration is required for abstract submission. Don't worry about the payment; simply choose the "Book now, pay later" option during checkout. Your account is always accessible, allowing you to edit your abstract or monitor its evaluation status at any time.
When to register and pay?
Your early registration is greatly appreciated as it helps us predict and manage the limited conference resources, ensuring a seamless welcome for you.
To ensure a smooth registration process, please follow these steps:
- Click on any of the 'Register Now' buttons located on this page. You'll be directed to the registration form. Fill in the required information in the registration form. Once done, proceed to submit the form.
- Upon successful registration, an automated email containing your login credentials will be sent to the email address provided.
- While immediate payment isn't mandatory upon registration, we recommend selecting the "Book now, Pay Later" option for preliminary booking. However, securing early bird registration fees is encouraged, considering the period-based pricing system we follow.
- Utilize your participant account to manage your attendance efficiently. From your account page, you can complete pending payments, download your invoice, update/edit your abstract, or track the abstract evaluation results.

Ankara, Turkey's capital, is a historic city with roots dating back to ancient civilizations. Formerly known as Ancyra and Angora, it served as the capital of Galatia and later the Roman province with the same name. Positioned in central Anatolia, Ankara's urban center houses 5.1 million people, making it Turkey's second-largest city. The historic center features the remnants of Ankara Castle, offering a glimpse into its diverse past.
An integral player in Turkish history, Ankara became the political center during the establishment of the Grand National Assembly in 1920 and assumed the role of the national capital in 1923. Beyond its governmental significance, Ankara is a thriving commercial and industrial hub, strategically located at the crossroads of Turkey's transportation networks. The city seamlessly blends its historical heritage with modern vitality, symbolizing resilience and progress in the heart of Turkey.
Abstracts should be submitted online through the MeetingHand Abstract Submission System, which we use to collect and manage registrations and abstracts for PolimerTR conferences. Meetinghand automatically applies the abstract template, but we'd like to provide more details for a seamless submission process:
1. Submission and Editing:
- The system automatically determines the format, including text type, length (min 100 - max 350 words), etc. - The abstract submission system allows editing, saving, and submitting abstracts for evaluation.
- Abstracts can be freely updated until the submission deadline. For post-deadline updates, please send an email via the 'Contact Organizer' link in your participant account (requires login).
2. Title, Presentation Type, and Scientific Topic:
- Please capitalize each word of the title carefully.
- The submitting (corresponding) author must specify the presentation type and the scientific topic for which the abstract is being submitted.
3. Authors:
- The author submitting the abstract is designated as the "Corresponding Author".
- The Corresponding Author must add and define the order of co-authors, select the presenting author, and provide affiliations and email addresses for all authors.
- Authors should be added separately.
- The system will automatically merge affiliations with author names. Please use copy/paste for affiliations to avoid misspellings.
- Rewrite the author's name if there are multiple affiliations.
4. Abstract Body:
- The main abstract text must be written in the designated section and can include basic formatting such as superscript and subscript.
- Copy-paste from doc and pdf documents is available.
- Please carefully review the copied and pasted abstracts in the preview section.
- Please double-check the formulas in the preview step.
- Do not include the title, authors, or affiliations in the abstract body text section (as it corrupts the review and publishing process).
5. Images, Charts, and Tables:
- It is preferable to avoid adding images, charts, or tables in the abstracts. However, if necessary, they can be added as an image only.
6. References and Keywords:
- References and keywords should be added in the separate fields provided, not in the main abstract text section.
- References should be cited in the abstract text.
We look forward to receiving your abstracts and appreciate your adherence to these guidelines to ensure a smooth submission process.
